Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 Because your Lord has inspired it. 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 So whoever does a good deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 7 And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
