Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. 11
