Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha; Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 2 Indeed, there are signs in the heavens and earth for believers, 3 and in your creation, and the crawling things He scatters abroad, there are signs for a people having sure faith, 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and in the means of sustenance – water – which Allah sends down from the sky whereby He gave life to the earth after its death, and in the movement of the winds – (in all these) are signs for people of intellect. 5 These are God's revelations, which We recite to you in all truth. But if they deny God and His revelations, in what message will they believe? 6 Woe to each sinful dealer in Falsehoods: 7 who hears Allah's Signs being rehearsed to him, and yet persists in his pride, as though he had not heard it. Announce to him, then, the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 8 And when he knows anything of Our signs, he takes them in mockery; those for them awaits a humbling chastisement. 9 Beyond them there is hell, and that which they have earned will naught avail them, nor those whom they have chosen for protecting friends beside Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom. 10 This is guidance. And those who disbelieve the revelations of their Lord, for them there is a painful doom of wrath. 11
