Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and the smooth runners 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
