So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
