Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to humans, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They said, "We never used to offer the prayer." 43 "Nor used to feed the needy." 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
