The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
