Surely, Abraham was a nation obedient unto God, a man of pure faith and no idolater, 120 He was thankful to God for His bounties. God chose him and guided him to the right path. 121 And so We vouchsafed him good in this world; and verily, in the life to come [too] he shall find himself among the righteous. 122 And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters. 123 The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ. 124 Call them unto the way of thy Lord with Wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them with that which is best. Verily thy Lord! He is the Best Knower of him who hath strayed from His way, and He is the Best Knower of the guided ones. 125 If you want to retaliate, retaliate to the same degree as the injury done to you. But if you are patient, it is better to be so. 126 Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. 127 Allah is with the cautious and those who do good. 128
