(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
