We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
