Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning for people -- 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About the guilty: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
