The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O believers, advance not before God and His Messenger; and fear God. God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 1 O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet (SAW), nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not. 2 The ones who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah are those whose hearts Allah has tested for God-fearing. Theirs shall be forgiveness and a great reward. 3 Many of those who call you from outside the apartments are not considerate. 4 for, if they had the patience [to wait] until thou come forth to them [of thine own accord,] it would be for their own good. Still, God is much forgiving, a dispenser of grace. 5 O believers, if an ungodly man comes to you with a tiding, make clear, lest you afflict a people unwittingly, and then repent of what you have done. 6 Know that the Apostle of God is among you: If he agreed with you in most matters you would surely come to grief. But God has made faith more desirable to you, and attractive to your hearts, and rendered disbelief and sin and disobedience repugnant. They are those who are well directed 7 by Allah's favour and bounty. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 8 If two parties of the believers fight, put things right between them; then, if one of them is insolent against the other, fight the insolent one till it reverts to God's commandment. If it reverts, set things right between them equitably, and be just. Surely God loves the just. 9 The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. 10
