Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
