He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble, pious. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what has God created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
