Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 He verily will be content. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
