The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
