Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
