The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 closed around them 8 In extending columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
