AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
