Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
