Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hath there come unto thee tidings of the Overwhelming? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 In which are high thrones. 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 and arranged cushions 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
