The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 And Him Who hath created male and female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 Who denied (the truth) and turned away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
