In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or orders piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
