In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
