Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
