Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And the breath of morning 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
