Do not think that Allah is unaware of the harmdoers work. He only gives them respite till the Day on which all eyes will stare, 42 They shall come out running in bewilderment, with their heads raised, their gaze not returning to them; and their hearts will not have any calm. 43 (O Muhammad), warn mankind of the Day when a severe chastisement shall overtake them, and the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while; we shall respond to Your call and will follow Your Messengers." (But they will be clearly told): "Are you not the same who swore earlier that they shall never suffer decline?" 44 “And you dwelt in the houses of those who had wronged themselves and it became very clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We illustrated several examples for you.” 45 They devised evil plans which were so sinful that even the mountains could not endure them. All these were known to God. 46 So, do not think, (O Prophet), that Allah will go back upon His promise to His Messengers. Surely Allah is Mighty, Lord of retribution. 47 On the Day when the earth will be changed to another earth and so will be the heavens, and they (all creatures) will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible. 48 And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles, 49 with garments of pitch and faces covered by fire. 50 that God may recompense every soul for its earnings; surely God is swift at the reckoning. 51 This is a proclamation for all mankind that they may be warned by it, and that they may know that their God is none but the One True God, and that men of understanding may take heed. 52
