The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Where then will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
