The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
