۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 and so we have [rightly] driven them out of [their] gardens and springs, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
