Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily the tree of Zaqqum: 43 Food of the sinner. 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 Lay hold of him, and drag him unto the midst of the Flaming Fire. 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 In Gardens and water-springs. 52 Attired in silk and brocade, they shall be arrayed face to face. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 Certainly, We have made this (Quran) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
