Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
