Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
