S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Sad [These letters (Sad etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Quran full of reminding. 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 It seems strange to the pagans that a man from their own people should come to them as a Prophet. The unbelievers have said, "He is only a lying magician". 4 "Has he made the aliha (gods) (all) into One Ilah (God - Allah). Verily, this is a curious thing!" 5 And their leading chiefs said: "Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it. 6 We have not heard this in the religious community close to our time. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Has the reminder been revealed to him from among us? Nay! they are in doubt as to My reminder. Nay! they have not yet tasted My chastisement! 8 Or, are with them the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by ropes! 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
