Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
