Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is split, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
