The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
