The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
