The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
