The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
