The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
