He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, pure. 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And We made corn grow, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 Mother and father, 35 and his consort and his children; 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
