Keep up prayer from the declining of the sun till the darkness of the night and the morning recitation; surely the morning recitation is witnessed. 78 And as for the night, keep vigil a part of it, as a work of supererogation for thee; it may be that thy Lord will raise thee up to a laudable station. 79 Say, "Lord, grant me an honourable entrance and an honourable exit, and sustain me with Your power." 80 And say: "The truth has now come [to light,] and falsehood has withered away: for, behold, all falsehood is bound to wither away!" 81 And We reveal of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers, and it adds only to the perdition of the unjust. 82 When We are gracious to man he turns away and moves aside; yet when evil befalls him he begins to despair. 83 Say: 'Every man works according to his own manner; but your Lord knows very well what man is best guided as to the way.' 84
