The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 Their brother Hud asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 So fear God and listen to me. 126 I ask no recompense of you; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 127 Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? 128 “And prefer strong palaces, that perhaps you may live for ever?” 129 And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know, 132 “He aided you with cattle and sons.” 133 And gardens and watersprings. 134 "Verily, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day." 135 [But] they answered. "It is all one to us whether thou preachest [something new] or art not of those who [like to] preach. 136 This [religion of ours] is none other than that to which our forebears clung, 137 And we are not to be punished." 138 So they rejected him; and We destroyed them. There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them would not believe. 139 And indeed your Lord only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
