Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
