The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
