The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
