T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
