3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
