Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, – 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 like boiling water. 46 'Take him, and thrust him into the midst of Hell, 47 then pour over his head the chastisement of boiling water!' 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 Within gardens and springs, 52 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 Verily, We have made this (Qur'an) easy, in thy tongue, in order that they may give heed. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
